As to the real estate market in Berks County, the National News recently showed Reading, PA  was ranked with the best real estate values in the Country. Yes, of all the Cities in the US, Reading, PA has the lowest medium price homes. In addition a recent national report showed our area in the top two communities in the Northeast of the United States for value growth.

While Reading is just one of the many municipalities in our beautiful Berks County area, the prices in most of the communities in Berks County are bargains compared to nearby cities, PA and of course, National..  Even now when the news stories in the paper are telling everyone how bad the market is, the average sales price in Berks County is still increasing in most areas.

Why are some average prices in Berks County still increasing and prices in neighboring areas decreasing ?

The answer has a lot to do with the location and the economics of the community. More and more families are finding that the quality of life and the low cost of living in Berks County are better than where they work or presently live. They are finding out that the short drive to and from work is a small thing compared to the benefits of living in Berks County.
